Floreana Island
It was named after Juan Jose Flores, the first
President of Ecuador, during whose administration the
government of Ecuador took possession of the archipelago.
The enigmatic and fascinating Floreana Island is the least inhabited
island of Galapagos inspite of the fact that it was the first one to be
colonized, basically by national and foreigner settlers during the first
decades of this century. |
