Santa Cruz Island tours
Highlands
The
highlands are located in the northern part of the island and can reach
elevations up to 1500 meters. The vegetation here is abundant, lush and
the weather moist.
Santa Cruz Highlands is a definite contrast with the arid scenery of the
smaller, lower islands. A point of interest is the famed lava tunnels, a
fun and geologically informative visit. The trip to the highlands ends
with a visit to the Twin Craters.
Las Bachas
On the sandy white beaches of Las Bachas you will get
a close look at a sea turtle nesting area and a lake frequented by leggy
pink flamingos and other migratory birds.
Afterwards, you cool yourselves off with your first
dip in the deliciously blue Pacific Ocean.
Dragon Hill
Dragon Hill located on the northwestern shore of
Santa Cruz Island. There is a short walk to the hill, which rewards with
a great view of the bay and a nesting site of land iguanas. |
